Last week I went to Manhattan to meet with Trigger at Two Bridges Luncheonette, where I'll be starting my musical residency program on March 22. It's the first time I've been to the borough in a while, and it was my first visit to the rehabbed World Trade Center site since the buildings and so many people inside of them were bombed and destroyed. I was struck not only by the stark and sanitary architectural look of the WTC area and its heart-gripping tribute to the fallen, but also by the rough-and-tumble visage of the city outside the memorial grounds.
I brought along my Fujifilm XE-1 camera and shot a few pictures on my way to the meeting. These are a few of the images I caught.
